Respect to Palm Sounds first, because I took this news from them.

Jasuto Pro 1.2.2 just been announced- with a vocoder- and what a vocoder!! Cool

Really needed a new thread- just to see the demo. Cool

Jasuto Pro 1.2.2 has been submitted. Here's what's coming:
The sequencer supports odd loop lengths, independent rates (up to 64x the tempo!), and trigger resets now.
Transposing of sequencers now scale properly.
Fixed the .wav case sensitivity issue.
Fourier transform modules (FFT, iFFT, Band, Bands) for some spectral fun! Check out the new Spectral category which contains a Vocoder example!
Recording/Resampling now only listens to the selected Speaker modules, if nothing is selected then it records everything (just like the current default behavior).
Fixed a browser tabbing issue that would popup after saving a scene.
Much better sounding Noise module.
Sonoma AudioCopy/Paste 1.1.
Sequences/Motion now start on the initial note on loading.
Fixed a bunch of number editor bugs, and yes, you can now enter 0!
You can now disable motion smoothing on nodes when dragging them around in the scene. The option can be found in the Motion menu under Smooth.
Replaced the screensaver with something a little less arbitrary, a spectrogram!

Wow, indeed! Like wow, it's a totally useless app!!! Evil or Very Mad

I got the latest updates for both Jasuto and Jasuto Pro.

Now I can't connect any node to any node. This adds to my general aggravation with both apps - despite the promise of these apps, I am not smart enough to learn how to use either properly without a tutorial.

I posted a report to the Bugs forum.

Oh dear Gov. Sad

Try following the YouTube tutorials. Maybe that'll help?

I don't have a problem, and I hate manuals! Very Happy

Have you updated to the very latest version of Jasuto or Jasuto Pro? If not I could understand why you might think I am joking or otherwise not taking my bug report seriously. Perhaps you can show me the "new" way of connecting these objects if it is in another video?

Here is the video i saw:

The Saw object is auto-wired to the Speaker object in this video. But in the latest version of Jasuto (NOT Pro!!!) when I emulate his example, there is NO auto-wiring between the Saw and Speaker. In his video, the Saw object is instantly connected to the Speaker object. Not in this latest version of Jasuto! No sound!

I don't know what he attempted to do exactly in this "update" but he obviously broke something in the rush to update both apps for Iphone OS 4.

Yes.

The modules no longer connect like the do here (but you can I believe, change this in the preferences?). To wire two modules together double tap the screen, but then drag over the modules you wish to wire, then choose 'wire' from the menu.

Try it again Smile

I do admit the port mapping procedure is a bit hit and miss, but it seems that Hemicube has dropped the idea that Jasuto should be really easy to use, fancying it more now as a sort of Reaktor for iPhone and Android- and why not?

I apologize for my tone earlier. I will be traveling soon and was looking forward to playing more with Jasuto Pro. The disappointment with not being able to patch anything together was maddening.

I tried your instruction above and was not able to connect the modules that way. I however was able to get them to wire by selecting Auto-Wire On from the System menu. Maybe I need to move my iPhone out of its thick protective case to a thinner one, or at least one that does not impose an additional layer on top of its touchscreen.

Anyone upgrade to iPhone OS 4?

I wonder if the Jasuto and Jasuto Pro updates for OS 4 had something to do with my troubles with these two apps of late.

There have been reports of multiple apps, including ThumbJam and ioSynth, not functioning under OS 4, and apps that used to work under OS 3 not working anymore on OS 3 iPhones.

I haven't upgraded yet. My phone is also "naked", with no cover, or protector covering its screen.

I can't work out if you updated your phone the the new OS?

Oh no, I haven't updated my iPhone OS. I'd like to keep using ThumbJam, thank you very much. Laughing

I updated. Jasuto still works. I haven't gone through all my apps but most of them are working fine, or at least as well as they did before the update.
