have to say there is a little bit of unintentional glitching through the file...
but it doesn't hurt it tooooo bad. it IS an improvised internet collaboration after all... |

Thanks for recording & posting and of course; playing!
and thanks to DrSteve for the great appeggio sounds.
Was just thinking about something,.
The delay between the streams is probably not constant, and in this case there where 2 delays.
From me to Steve and from Steve to you, so this may have caused some synching 'problems'.
But I don't care either, like you said it's live and improvised and most importantly it was FUN to do!

Thanks for recording and posting the "minijam." In case others listen, here's some background: I had been working on some live performance patches (arpeggios) and shared them with PHOBoS who was on line and came up with a bass loop to accompany the arps. Cody listened in, came up with some great drums and recorded the mix that is posted. Today, Cody and I discussed some possibilities for developing this "proof-of-concept" minijam further--including quad! (In my mind's ear I can hear the arps bouncing around the 4 speakers with swooshy and swirly sounds going around the speakers.) I would love to do a collaboration like this live!! Anyone from the northeast driving to KCEM2011 that I can get a ride with?

Thanks. Glad you liked it!
It was live in the sense that PHOBoS had a bass loop going that I listened to on the internet and resent it together with my live arps and noodling to Cody, who added his PD (Pure Data) drums and recorded it. There were internet delays between all of us. Since I was listening to PHOBoS's delayed stream, I was able to sync mine with his. Since Cody was listening to my stream, he was able to sync up to what I was sending. We were at 140 BPM (if I remember correctly) and had synced up just before the part that was recorded and posted.
