Hello! I'm new to circuit bending (Haven't actually bent anything yet...) I'm just curious about the 6V rule I seem to see everywhere. Why 6? I just got a no-name 37-key keyboars, but it takes 6 batteries. I would really like to bend it.. is 9 really that much more dangerous?

Thanks for the info!!

Also, Hi. My name's John.. I'm sure I'll be bugging all of you plenty in the future with all of my questions. =)

welcome John.

Dunno, never heard of that rule and 6 V to me seems a matter of taste ... for safety I see no reason to not go up to 12 V.

Thanks, I didn't think a couple more batteries would be any more dangerous. I just thought maybe there was a very thin line or something, when it comes to voltage. Or that above 6 volts maker tend to use bigger capacitors or something. Don't wanna mess around with electricity and all.
Again, thanks Smile
