Hi just finished a SuperPsycho Lfo and was wondering if there is anyway to add some type of sync signal to it. Not really sure if its possible, thought itd be great to send a gate or trigger to it and have the LFOs fire in a rhythmic fashion...I know it uses a schmitt trigger and thought it might be possible.

thanks

this question gets asked every now & then.

I am not sure if anybody has developed a solution but two spring to mind.

use a 4066 or 4016 to break the connection between the inverter inputs and the 22n caps. remember the 40106 is powered between 0V and -15V, so same for the 4066. This way you can sync 4 of the 6 oscillators.

another possibility, I saw this on a chaos circuit recently.
add 100 ohm resistor between ground and the power pin (14). From pin 7 break the connection to -15V and put in a transistor subcircuit that closes when a trigger arrives. This will turn off the chip briefly and result in a syncing, of sorts.

These are untested ideas i am throwing out thanks to a few glasses of Bellarmine Riesling....have a few spare chips handy Very Happy
