Is my A6 broken ? Strange things happened with long release |
 |
|
Hello - this is my first post. Sorry for my really bad english
I own A6 from +- 8 months. I bought it new but compared to my other analog and digital synths there is some strange things happened when i use long RELEASE.
When i use smaller amount of release and i play arpeggio like notes some of them are cuted at the end. It soundsmore like few mono synths but other voices sounds OK. It's little bit like a cycle and depending of the release amount. With a bit shorter release it cut's 2-3 notes from 16 but when release is longer it sounds really strange and after a while all of the notes are cuted at the end, than again it sounds OK When i play chords it sounds better, maybe even good or i didn't hear it that much. Is it normal for Andromeda ? Is the only synth i own which sound like that.
I own many analog and digital synths. from voyager , prophet etc. to JD800 or D50.
here is link to the mp3 to show you exactly what i mean :

I use only one OSC. Second part is with longer release setting. No sustain pedal , no knobs ... just playing on the keyboard.
Is it only my unit or is normal for Andy ?
When I play with sustain pedal it sounds OK.
My second problem is D1 key. There is a problem with velocity. It seems like velocity jump from minimum directly to the maximum value. So when i play very softly is OK and than when i play just a bit harder it goes directly to the maximum. The other keys are OK. Any ideas ?
One more time sorry for my bad English. |

Hi , You could try setting voice steal to 'ON' in the global>keyboard parameters menu . Also look at the dynamics page of your envelopes and set the reset value to normal . Go to the trig envelope page and set enable to off and mode to Norm 1 . Sounds like your running out of polyphony or somethings retriggering your envelope(s) maybe . As far as the volocity issue , Maybe try initialising all Global parameters (power up holding soft button 4) If all that fails try a hard reset .(power up holding soft button 3) This will lose any programs you havent backed up though .
Hope that helps |

Hello and thank you for your answer. Unfortunatly I've already tried all this things before I posted here. Hard reset, voice steal. etc. It doesn't help _________________ Andromeda A6, moog Voyager RME, Prophet 08, Virus TI, Waldorf Pulse, Korg microkorg ( modified - desktop version ), Poly 800 FM/moog slayer mod, Roland Juno 106, JX8P, JD800, JP8000, Alpha Juno 1, D550, R8-M, Yamaha CS-30, EX5, TX7, PSS-780, Novation Super Bass Station , Drum Station v.2, MFB 502, Oberheim Matrix-1000 ... |
