Hello there !
I've just buyed the Waldorf Blofeld synthesizer and I am totally new here with these.

I would like to know if someone could help me to be familiar with the interface and software that go with it.

I got a few question here to ask first.

1- First, does the cd that come with the synth work on vista? Because I tried to install it and it didn't work. I installed it on xp and it worked, it come with PPG Wave and Attack I think.

2- How do you update your blofeld ? ( It would be very appreciate if someone could tell me because it is boring me a lot ).

3- What are the best software to work with this synth ?

** I just want to know if someone could help me on how to set up the blofeld on the computer ( when he is plug ) , and how to do some beat on a software ( I don't really know wich one to use and etc... )

Anyway, I know it sound a lot noob to you, and thats what I am !
It would be very appreciate if you can help me with this !!

Hello Vagabond, welcome

1) PPG and Atack are free vst plughin that nothing related to Blofeld. That need not install anything to the system to run a Blofeld
2) download the most recent os.mid file from Waldorf website. Use midi software tools to transfer the midi signal into blofeld, either through usb or midi interface. (I use sendex to do it, it is free and great, easy to use)
3) There is an cool free editor, even including a patch generator and morph combimator. please check with previous posts in this waldorf sub-forum

And, I can't find the os.mid file on the Waldorf site in the Download section

Thank you very much for the answer, I hope you will be able to help me again ^^

I mean a Blofeld editor, not a waldorf editor.
Please refer here.

By the way, you can download the latest firmware

http://www.waldorfmusic.de/assets/files/products/blofeld/system/BlofeldV1_15.zip

by using Bome Send SX, or even a sequencer to upload the firmware to the Blofeld.
