I would like to know if the Line 6 EX1 expression pedal is only for use with the sounds from A6, or if it also can be used as an expression pedal while using the A6 as a controller for VST-instruments?

Anybody got a clue?
(The Line 6 EX1 expression pedal was recommended in this thread
http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-20173.html)

Thanks for help.

I took the plunge and bought the pedal blindsighted.

Fortunately, it works as I hoped.

Yeah, what do you think of that pedal? I bought one a while back and it works OK, but it is pretty hard to get a smooth sweep on the filter with it, plus the range on it is much bigger than what those filters can handle it seems. I can't get the filter to start moving till I have the pedal a quarter of the way up, even after messing with the offsets.

Exactly, there is definately room for improvement.

Anybody knows a better one? If so, please let me know.

I'm the owner of a Roland pedal EV-5 that works badly in a small range on my A6.
On this webpage http://line6.com/community/thread/16561 they say it's the same pedal of the EX1 with added TRS and Knob. The Pot is a 10k as the one of the EX1.

Any suggestion to make it work? Anyone can give me the schematics of the EX-1?

Stef

Yamaha FC7 is one of the best, but it has no polarity switch, but if you get the Hoosa Y split jacks, you can flip it without modding the unit. May or may not need it on the A6, but Yamahas are inverted on a Roland and vice versa

Hello CoolColJ, nice to see you here! Don´t know how many times I´ve played your nice old A6 mp3-demos when I´ve needed some analog inspiration! Very Happy
