Screen Jumps |
|
|
Hi , anybody else here experiencing screen jumps ? Ive been getting them since Ive had my A6 . Fireing it up in debug mode and going through the procedure seems to work , but takes a long time . After a while the jumps come back to , Mine seems to jump to Env 2 or the post filter page a lot, but at the moment is jumping to the voice output page :S . Does anybody know what causes this and maybe a way to stop it ? I had the same thing with my ion . Thanks |

Thanks , had it open once , all the cables should be ok , but ill give it a go . When the cables werent seated properly I had problems with the pot values . But Ive had jumpy screens since, and before it was opened and the cables checked . May take a while to get round to that though , Not much room here
Thanks again |

Sounds like jittery pots that make the CPU falsely assume that they have been tweaked, hence the screen jumps. A common problem. Most often caused by dust and/or the pot not being used alot. Try hunting down the offending pot, pull off its cap and thorougly clean away the dust/dirt underneath. Also, moving the pot fully clockwise and back many times can make it stop jittering.
If this all doesn't help, the pot has to be replaced. |

...and always tweak all the A6 pots at times when you are not that creative
Andy doesn't like at all to be without pot operation for a long period, and doing this once per month will normally make this issue disappear forever.
Also note that mostly it's not a cause of dust - the pots inner contacts just become oxidized, and just tweaking the pots cleans them very well. _________________ In this world, we all share one and the same god.
