welcome

I liked your "Meditation through the Apocalypse" so much I played it on my Monday show. You must be quite the thing to see and hear live.

the scene is kind of weird. it exists, but it's hard to tap into. i'm afraid there is a lot of cliquey-ness and if you're not "weird" or "cool" enough, it's hard to gain respect. however, there are a lot of amazing people in the area that do great work.

Yeah, sounds familiar,LOL!! Everybodies got they're own ideas of constitutes "good" music, and if it doesnt match up to folks expectations, they love to dog it. Nevermind that its a risk to provide something different in front of others.

i had always thought exp music was an expression of the individual, and that everyone has a different idea of what it could be, and thats what makes music so cool!!

im schizophrenic (mild now, but progressing with age), and what turns this brain on musically is alot different than others i know. When i think the art is getting better, everyone else says its worse. Especially the exp crowd.

Such is life. But hey, it's about realizing our own vision right, despite others?

Great question! It's effected it alot, but i don't have the musical vocab to express alot of it. Changes that are easier to explain is having alot to do with #'s. i.e. sounds placed at certain #'s along the timeline, alot of that. Alot of hidden meaning Easter Egg things that never has anything to do with the piece. These take top priority.
The structure has changed from being flowing like to having more interuptions at inappropriate times. i use alot more vocal undercurrents and "triangular filter sweep" sounds. These are types of sounds i first experienced as the condition showed itself. Alot of things that are hard to put into words.

Checked out 4 of your tracks so far, my fav is med thru apoc, Cool!! i have to ask, did you ever live in Atlanta? i had a friend named Justin that we played with, and your tracks sound quite a bit similar. He ended up moving to the NE, but forgot where.

that's really fascinating.

nope, i've lived here all my life. but if our music is similar, i'd love to hear what he does.

i'm in the process of changing my moniker from dim dusk moving gloom to something else. hopefully i will have made a decision today.

The only things i got is him playing with us, and its from cassette (back in 95) The style is similar, but without the strings. If you want i could post it real quick just for you, but then take it down to save b/w.

spore is already an electronic artist. sort of pop industrial as far as i know. i am obsessed and fascinated with the science behind fungus in general. the pregnancy of it is really just something that sounded good in my head, and imagining a mold spore being pregnant with something is really creepy. i think it works a lot better with the sound of my material. ddmg was too dark.

and the Rainbow Bridge? i ask cuz my (ex)girlfriend was obsessed with the idea of RB, having recurring dreams about it, what not...this synchronicity thing. She's been saying alot of stuff about marriage with it. i told her (shes still living in my house, ugh) about talking to RB and eyes went wide. Shocked

YOU'RE obsessed with cats? Razz

When I met my girlfriend, she had 10 cats. We now live together and have 8.

We don't plan to keep those numbers up. When we're down to about 3 or 4, we'll use that as a maximum. Probably 2 would be better, as we would like to have a dog (perhaps a hearing dog, at that).

Really thought it would be done, but it looks alright now. We've known each other for 15+ years...yikes.
