I've never cut a PCB before. Any suggestions on the best way to do it?

i just scored it pretty deep (multiple passes w/ a utility knife, on both sides) and snapped it. make sure to cut all the way thru all the foil. if it doesn't snap easily, score some more

If you have access to a dremel and a cutting wheel that'd be a quick solution.

What about drilling? Will any old bit work? I've got a bunch of old PCBs that didn't come with mounting holes (well, most have like one, but not 4 as I'd like). They actually all are made to fit 11/22 pin card edge connectors but I'm having trouble finding them.

I would definitely suggest that you score the board with an exacto knife.

First, cut the traces so that they don't pull up from the PCB. Then score the PCB as far as you can. At that point, you should be able to get a clean break.

The dremel tool will work, too -- however it is easy to end up with a crooked cut. In either case, make sure you get clean cuts on the traces -- they are are a real pain if they pull up from the board.

Thanks everyone, I just scored the boards on the copper side and snapped them. Worked great.
