UFO SiGHtiNgS !!!!

i'm a BIG ufO guy. i'm wondering if there is anyone here with any experiences to share. i used to be brushed off as a weirdo when i've searched for others stories, but lately it seems the climate is changing. i'd LOVE to hear your stories, so if you've one, PLEASE share with us!!

To start the ball rolling, i'll give my accounts first. i've had 3 suspected UFO sightings, but those i'm not %100 on, but i have 3 other sightings, that there was NO DOUBT in my mind....

*Sighting 1*
This is in IL, zip code 61111. i was 9-10 years old and my bedroom was on the top floor with the bed placed in front of window that looked out onto the across the street neighbor. Behind the neighbors house was a school, and a large field next to a river where i usually played in.
One night, i was sleeping soundly, and in the wee hours of the morning, my dog, who slept at my feet, scrambled on top of me and began frantically barking out the window, which never happened before. Of course she awakened me, and she just wouldn't stop barking out the window, so i looked out to see what was going on.
When i looked out, i saw a brilliant whitish yellow saucer shape about 1.5 times larger than the house descending into the field behind the house. Once it had landed it had disappeared from view, but you could still see a glow reflecting off the trees. The light faded and the dog stopped barking. i couldnt see anything else after that and went back to sleep.
The next day, i told my parents, they brushed it off, but after telling my Grandma she said she believed me.

*Sighting 2*
This happened a week after the first sighting and in the same exact field, but this time, me and a friend were playing there shortly after dusk. We both seen a small red glowing sphere, about the size of a beach ball moving very slowly among the tops of the trees right next to us.
At first i thought it was a left over firework (this is in July) and pointed it out to my friend. We were both like, "oooo", but then we noticed it wasn't fading away and that it was floating and moving moving from side to side, almost like it was checking us out. i remember my friend getting weirded out, and then i there seems to be some time missing, or a memory block. The next thing i remember was us both walking home expressionless, not saying a word to each other. We never talked about it afterwards.

*Sighting 3*
Tucson, AZ. 26 y.o. i was walking to a busstop on a busy street. i was looking up at the clouds, and the i seen a giant, very slow moving, gun metal gray/black triangle. i never heard of these Delta shaped craft before, so it was pretty impressive. i couldnt understand why it wasnt falling out of the sky, because it wasnt very aerodynamic.
i was at an intersection, and i kept pointing up to the sky to try to get folks to look at this thing, but noone did. i watched it for about 3 minutes before it dissapeared into a cloud.
Later on, this year, i discovered the massive numbers of the Delta sightings here in AZ. Just over a month ago, there were a flood of sightings over Tucson again, and i could have seen this one. i seen some people pointing up in the sky when it happened, and i even thought of the time when i was pointing and noone looked...but i didnt bother to look up.

The other 3 sightings were of bright pinpoints of light that would move in every direction and stop on a dime, but i cant confirm a pinpoint of light as a ufo, no matter how it behaves.

There are people who believe that all govs will soon disclose the knowledge they have on them, but this can border on conspiracy theory.

I am pretty sceptical about stuff like this (there's a lot dubious info on the web these days about all sorts of conspiracy abduction crap) but I have heard first hand experiences of UFO's (literally - unidentified flying objects) from people I trust and have no reason to doubt their experiences. Whether these involved extra-terrestial craft, top secret military tests or natural phenomena is the BIG question, but I remain totally convinced that the people concerned experienced something genuinely extra-ordinary.... I try not to get tied down too much about the mind-blowiness of all this (if you know what I mean), but I do know that our our small blue planet spaceship whizzing through space and time is special and weird enough anyway to inspire me.......
Then again maybe we're a local galactic national park! (go look at the stupid upright monkeys f*ck it all up).

You might want to check out the writings of Robert Anton Wilson, who frequently addresses this topic in a very agnostic way. I just happen to be reading "The New Inquisition" at the moment. Very interesting stuff.

Personally, I'm of the mind-set of accepting whatever this all turns out to be without going to the extremes of nuttiness (parading and holding up WELCOME TO EARTH signs and such) or complete denial of everything but a very narrow reality tunnel whose "reality" is dubious anyway.

I find such topics fascinating for one simple reason: nobody knows everything and in fact any one person no matter how knowledgeable or intelligent knows very little relative to what is "knowable" in this or any other universe. I'm not quite like Fox Mulder in "The X Files" who wants to know "the" truth, as I would think there are as many "truths" as there are intelligent, analytical-minded observations about the universe we create around us.

Haha, Cartman gets an anal probe, classic! Yeah, the Phoenix lights are huge. They say they "proved" what it was...but no. That night they were also seen in Tucson here. i'm gonna find a link to last months Tucson sighting.

Wanna say this: The Black triangle i seen was in daytime, and had no lights visible. This thing could likely be government craft, as the flight path of the sightings here is always in line from the airbase here, and the one in Phoenix. This craft was COMPLETELY different than the first 2 i saw.
Last week i found a photo of the saucer shaped one, i need to find it again and post it. The red orb i seen is exactly as others describe as FooFighters. Others report these orbs coming in /going out of larger objects.

There IS ALOT of hoopla surrounding this subject, BUT when you see one, you KNOW it isnt swamp gas our temperature inversions. Each time i seen these things, i didnt ever know about others seeing the same, having same descriptions. This is a real thing happening for sure. It seems most reports have come from pilots, and they know whats going on in the skies!!

You know, I do wonder why the government is so insistent on denying UFOs. You'd think if they had nothing to do with it, they'd say "we don't know, it's under investigation". Perhaps they do know, or perhaps they're so obsessed with their specific reality tunnels that they need to officially deny anything they don't understand in order to feel "sane".

Eh. Let them. I intend to write music, read all kinds of stuff, watch movies, blow my mind now and then, live well, and do what I can to expand and evolve. Anyone who wants to to otherwise is welcome to it!

During the WWars, there were a bunch of sitings everywhere, and each government acknowledged them, but thought they were the opposing countries technology...and they took it seriously.
So i think the latter point you made is likely, that they dont know enough to explain it. People fear what they dont understand.
Lately though, countries have been releasing their files related to ufos, im sure the US will follow suit after a few more countries do. Especially now that higher ranking government people are calling for investigations.
Our ex governer (AZ), when the Phoenix lights happened, he said he was told by higher ranking people to downplay what happened-which is why he originally made light of it. He was taking it VERY seriously behind the scenes, because he seen it himself. Out of office, he's more honest about it, and is trying to get the ball rolling on it.
i dont think the government knows too much though....

Hmmm. Interesting... when i was searchin last night for similar photos to what i saw, i found that where i saw the first 2 (rockford, il), many people have reported seeing the same things there. These reports are much later on 2/11 and 1/11/01, (this is zip code)mine was in the80's, but the same.

Peter Davenport, director of the National Unidentified Flying Object Reporting Center, received two reports of fireball-type objects in the skies above Rockford Friday night. His center also fielded a call about a sighting in Galesburg Sunday night and several calls from the Rockford area on New Year's Eve.

The Rockford Register Star also received half a dozen calls reporting glowing orange balls in the sky this week.

The Coan family of Beloit, Wis., [Rockford is some 15 crow miles south of the border with Wisconsin] reported seeing several bright orange glowing balls in the sky above Rockford Friday night [Feb 11] . Jeff Coan, 40, said the lights were "brilliant orange" and "very noticeable" to the naked eye. The Coans recorded the sighting on videotape. Davenport's center, which collects about 5,000 reports each year of UFO sightings, has received similar reports of glowing orange lights in Texas, Oregon and Arizona during the past two weeks.

"What's so interesting about these reports is that when you have the same phenomenon happening at the same time, it's difficult to believe that it's just a hoax," Davenport said from his Seattle-based center. "What we try to do in these cases is rule out possibilities -- like it's not a traditional airplane. It doesn't sound like it's a hot air balloon or some kind of unusual aircraft ... It sounds very intriguing."

Rockford TV Station Receive 600 reports of UFOs Over City!
ROCKFORD -- WREX Channel 13 Television and other news media reported that they had received some 600 reports of UFOs over this city in Northern Illinois around 9:00 PM on January 11, 2001. As many as twelve lights or UFOs were reported conducting maneuvers over the city. Some reports of computer and electrical shutdowns coincided with the reports. Later that night on all three of the news stations in Rockford reported the sightings. Some people reported seeing six lights while others reported seeing a dozen yellow orange lights hovering in the sky. The light sightings were made from 8:50 to 9:00 PM. Sightings have been fairly regular in recent months over the city.

The first time I saw them hot air thingies they really were UFOs to me, and they seemed to be really weird in how they moved. The second time I saw them it was less dark outside and it became clear then what was happening. More recently it has become a bit of a fancy - on a nice evening there often are a couple to be seen. Thing is, when you do not know what it is its hard to guess distance, size, and if you mis-guess they may seem to violate physical laws - as was the case when I first saw them.

Anyway, that for me accounts for the red / orange things. I've never spotted other UFOs personally.

In Hessdalen there are weird lights in the sky pretty often. This is not controversial at all. The local university has a research station up there.
