Realistic Stereo Reverb System mod

I want to mod this and need some help. It uses an MN3007 BBD, and I'm wondering if I can piggy-back another MN3007 to it to make the delay longer. I heard you could basically combine 4 MN3005 chips when you mod a 3005 circuit.

Also, I want to take the power cord off and replace it with a modular synth power connection (euro or motm). Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, I'm not qualified to help out, but it sounds cool. I'll be watching this thread

I can't tell you about the delay mods - but I took the board from one of these and used it in my modular.
The power supply and the circuit board were separate- it was easy to find the power supply leads. I don't recall offhand if it was bi-polar or not - but my modular power supply is + and -12 volts. I replaced the pots and jacks with thru-hole variants that I use in my modular face plates.

Thanks. I'll do a bit more research before I tackle this. Increasing the delay by a factor of 2 or 4 would be a significant improvement. I'll also be adding CV to the delay.

Up to 8 chips, eh? That would give 400msec of delay. If one can calibrate this properly, that would be amazing. I'll give it my best shot.

This particular unit was marketed as a reverb unit, but since it used BBD chip, it was always a delay unit. The way these chips work, they are horrible at replicating reverbs. If they make 50ms delays, then it is a chorus, slap-back, flanger type delay...

I just want it to be a proper long delay unit for dub stuff.
