greetings all.

great initiative shanemorris. it's sure going to be a beautiful collection of the work of people around here.

now, for my part - i got some interest in field recording last year, and had made a small rig around a Sharp MD recorder. i've built microphones from electret capsules, and played with the idea of binaural recording, wearing the mics on my head. still i have to think of some suspension for the capsules that doesn't make any noise ... sadly, i gave my rig to a friend and have yet to take it to be able to contribute to the collection.

i made a 9 min piece based on copier_129 recording. i was somehow intrigued by the idea of making a composition out of single happening (single machine in this case) and copier sounded adequate ...
it led me into (for me) unknown territory of stretching, squeezing and gating, and grew out into monstrous drone landscape. sent to mail posted here.
