It would. That's a way better bump.

Last year I spoke to Andreas Schneider (from Schneider's Buro) and he was willing to collaborate with such an event in Mallorca. Now I run a hotel bussiness in Mallorca, and I could get prices as low as 30€ per day in winter season (all food and unlimited drinks included)... we could have a 50-60 m2 room at our disposal and a small stage with PA and projector. I could arrange an analogue synth collection at our disposal, with Kyma, a few computers, tools, etc...

The weather is not too bad in this season, as you can check here: http://espanol.weather.com/weather/10day-Palma-de-Mallorca-SPXX0061

All of the above I can arrange on my own; if only anyone took care of inscriptions, dates, activities program, etc... we could have a meeting as soon as January. ¿a long weekend, perhaps? ¿a 4-day meeting? Even a week for those wishing to stay longer.

I don't intend to promote the hotel Smile In fact, the price is a bargain because it is winter season. I can provide more details on the accomodation if anyone is interested.

Best Regards to all!

Nice idea, but I think we will need more time to organize. How about X-mas or New Year 2011? Or in the begining of januari?

It's perfect for me. I can organize accomodation & a place for our activities, materials, etc.

Schedule and participants list could be arranged by someone else?

Wow Shocked

That's so cool that you guys would love to get together .... Are you seriously considering doing this in the next month? Or a year from now?

I could only make it if we organize something in the late part of 2011, such as fall.

I would be amazing to explore the sonic possibilities with you again (and I have done quite a few things since last time Wink )

Ciao,
Dasz

It would be late 2011 or January 2012. I'm ready for both dates. As I said, I can take care of everything related to accomodation & place. When someone volunteers for organizing activities schedule & participants list, I will start making proposals...

¡Looking forward to it!

I volunteer to organize the program, if no European wants that job.

Now, do we think the Xmas vacation period, between Dec 23 and jan 1 is best? Many people have family time and wouldn't want to disappear during this season. Maybe mid January is better.

That price, ¥30 with food and drink, is very reasonable, obviously. I'd suggest a four of five day event, maybe more, with people who can't stay that long coming when they can. The format would be to promote collaboration and sharing rather than conventional concerts, but we should do some of that too, of course. I would think the feeling would be like the Chateau Sonore event, with a bit more of a schedule, but not too much.

Hi guys, only 13 years since last post, I hope you are on your toes.

This one is probably for Jan as I guess he is my best bet.

When we where at the chateau there was a Dutch lady that had the plants wired up with I think max/msp tinkering away with music in the background.

The reason I am asking is because there is a guy on Gearspace that is interested in how to get electrical impulses from plants on the cheap as apparently you can now buy devices to do this but they are not cheap.

I wondered maybe if she could help him out.

Cheers

Andy
