I've seen some of your other very nicely done work, and I have just one question: aren't you worried about your synth collapsing into a black hole? It's getting rather dense!

Smile , It's critical Schwarzschild radius is something to keep an eye on , at the moment it is feeding on a type of accretion disc of pots / resistors & 1/4" sockets & chips emanating from Rapid electronics UK , It's hydrogen core has a few decades of life yet.......Then ...Event horizon.

heh , thanks for having a look Smile.

And heres another squeeze up , my last 2 mfos vcf's to get tarted up from my old original designs...

Dave.

Dave,
You always have something going on with your synth and its something interesting. With all the shrinking is it still easy to control or does familiarisation help?

Thanks for posting and keep making the good music

Hi Ashley , still easy to control , wider spaces helped when i was first learning Smile

2 modules finished....

fairly easy job of un-wiring & un-bolting existing modules then reinstating onto new panels , to free up needed space on the system.

Finished the 4 new lfo's & re-wire of the Sample & hold.

Had a real head scratcher problem with lfo 3 , i had a blue led for rate indicator but was getting strange rhythmic flashing & no speed adjust, using my scope the lfo was working fine but the blue led was giving the square out a rounded edge , put a standard red opaque led in and it works a treat now.

On Rays circuit , (lfo /w skew in oldies but goodies section of diy) , the lfo uses half an LM13700 , so on my vero-board i got 2 - Lm13700's & 4 - TL084's. the suggested 100N hi timer cap was a bit fast for me so i popped in some 330N for high and 2.2uF polyester box cap for low.

oooops , the blue led's in an unmarked bag were flashing ones , heh Smile , that's why they caused havoc with the lfo circuit , nevermind , Smile

Finished tonite & calibrated using Ray's calibrator circuit & test meters / scope ..... MFOS Vco's no. 5 & 6 , the last of my bare mfos pcb' up & running , i'm slowly hacking through the backlog Smile Smile

I've been tracking this, and I think you might want to check in with these guys to see if further consolidation is wise:

Seriously, nice work.
