loosing contact on nord modular g2

hi everybody.I've been away from composing music with my nm g2 plus ableton live for long(at least a year).Now that i started to do it again some problems happened to me.
I updated ableton live version to 8.0.4 from 7 .something,but i don't think that this could be the point.
Some time the nmg2 disconnects with the message saying loosing usb contact and sometime it just disconnects without any message(in this case the editor seems to works but there is no sound).If i'm not wrong this happens expecially when the song uses a lot of midi informations.For example in a song it seemed to disconnect at a certain point of the song(even if it was not really always like that) or for example when i was adding a module to a synth even if the memory was not exceded.I don't know,..i also thought that it could be something wrong with the patch itself.
In this song the only thing i can do to restart the synth is to switch it off and on or to reload the patch(this last non always works).
Does anyone have any advices about that?
And finally i've a last question:i have the expansion board and i think that it really works but because i don't see any writes close to the editor 's name about xpansion board and by forgetting about the polyphony of the patches before i install the card sometime some doubts accour to me.
So have the letters ’Exp’ after the OS version number had to appear in the main display only in the keyboard version or either in the rack one?Because i can't see any Exp and i have the rack version.

I guess you are on Mac! What version of the editor do u use?
I've found out that the editor works BETTER with windows(xp)...
Your exp is OK, don't worry about that

No Mac.I'm on windows xp and the editor is the last updatable one.I think it could be also because the soundcard it's getting a little bit old.May be i will buy the M-Box 3.Bye.

What version of the driver are you using?

Last one.I updated driver and editor just three days ago.I replaced the driver in the windows device menager.Is that the correct way to to that or do i have to uninstall it before?Thanks,bye.
