Beatmaker 2 for iPhone/ iPod Touch Subject description: BM2 also looks like the sh!t! 8)
Yep, in case you haven't noticed, it's finally arrived! BM2 is here, and it certainly looks very (extremely) impressive! iPad support coming soon
PS- there's a lot of controversy going on between Nanostudio and Beatmaker, interestingly not by the developers, but by a few of the fans. The whole ripping off thing is bloody ridiculous! I really hope no flame wars ensue on electro-music.com, because I will shoot you down in, well, flames! Flames of deleting posts! .....No only kidding. "Bomb the bans" I say, but please be gentlemanly about it!
Please feel free to post any creations or links/vids here too!
quote; "not by the developers" Hmm... actually I take that back . Blipinteractive, get over it! I would be really chuffed that someone had 'copied' from my design/ music- wouldn't you?! Make NS2 better!! I actually don't like the piano roll editor on NS, it's really fiddly. Improve it, and add better drum sampling- rip Intua off!! _________________ ACHTUNG!

Heh I actually reacted when I watched the BM2 video - it is very similar in many respects, with some added goodies. I personally think that good stuff (songs or art or apps or whatever) should be copied and enhanced, but if the BeatMaker guys don't acknowledge that Nanostudio is a precedent (I haven't checked around enough to know if they do) I think they should. _________________ Antimon's Window @soundcloud@Flattrhome - you can't explain music

Matt's now come back with a very positive statement about BM2- so I think everything is cool now.
Don't you think it's a bit like gangsters driving around with their guns and upped talk, BMW's and stuff? _________________ ACHTUNG!

Post a report if you download it and use it.
I have old Beatmaker and Nanostudio. I've used Nanostudio the most because of the user interface. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

Unfortunately I won't be doing that as I only have an ageing 3G iPhone, which BM2 won't run on.
Guess I'll be sticking with Nanostudio for now
I'm waiting for the next gen iPad, but I'll probably have to sell some old gear in order to afford one of those. What I'm really looking forward to though is Jasuto Studio. I'm much more of a 'linear' kind of guy anyway, so I think Jasuto Studio will suit me down to the ground. _________________ ACHTUNG!

The workflow is what determines how often I'll use an app. Nanostudio is great because it's painless to pull up the keyboard and record with it. It's also painless to select a 7/4 time signature.
In the old Beatmaker, someone did post a track made in 5/4 time but he had to jump through hoops to achieve that time signature. It was not as easy as selecting it from a dropdown like in Nanostudio.
The new BM2 UI does look nice, and the time stretch and audio chop features look cool too. But until I see more reports from users about the overall workflow, I'll wait a bit.
I do have to admit though that no offers are being made to owners of Beatmaker 1 - some kind of a discount to reward customer loyalty. That is a bit of a turnoff too. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud
