I wonder if they would have been more successful if they built it in a 19 inch rack format. My Octopus isn't exactly 'gig friendly'

But from what I've read the main reason for the breakup of Genoqs is time. As a 2 man project it's surprising that they got as far as they did. But not all is lost, support will be provided for existing machines. And since the software is opensource and done in plain C there is always the possibility of a community project with different or compatible hardware.
