Well, here I am feeling like the Gremlinmeister of the week!
I don't have a file of my set but if you just put on a pair of headphones without playing anything then that's all you need!
But, no disaster is a complete disaster if one learns from the experience -- they don't call it "the school of hard knocks" for nothing!
What occured was the loss of my clock signal between the clock mixer and the slaved devices (i.e., envelope generators, sequencers, s/h). The master clock divider was working fine and the clock mixer was fine (though, in reality, it is just a general purpose mixer -- it works for clock signals but wasn't optimized for them) -- the output of the clock mixer is ok -- however there is a problem that would appear to be an open signal or a short to ground either in the patchcords or jack multiple. This would be easy enough to find by simply switching to another multiple and/or removing patch cords one-by-one until the clock signal works again.
To perform a real-time set on the modular is an application that stretches me and the instrument -- and to be honest, the clock routings can be as complicated as the signal routings.
I have wanted to design a module that is dedicated to clock routing and control and this situation forces the issue. It has become apparent that I need a better method to route and control clock signals.
So, back the drawing board!
Well, everyone in the chat room was patient and supportive and I appreciate the opportunity to participate in streaming broadcasts.
Thanks to everyone and, once again, my apologies for the lack of musical output on my set. _________________ -- Kevin
