Nord Rack2 & Rekon Audio Lead2 Editor and the settings... Subject description: Can anyone help me please |

Hi there;
I am very very new to the forum and this is my first post here.
I have been producing electronic music for about ten years. I just used softwares like Reason, Fruity Loops and finally Ableton with lots of vsts. I never used hardware. Last week i just changed my mind suddenly and bought a Nord Rack2 synthesizer. Then this nightmare for me just started...
As you guess i am not any familiar with the hardware, midi vs. vs. things and connections and settings. So i can not connect all these and use them...
My questions is; How the connections and the setting in Ableton's preferences must be???
Here's my eqipment:
Nord Rack2
Akai MPK49 Midi keyboard
Maudio Firewire 410
Motu Ultralite 5X5 Midi Interface
Ableton Live 8 Suite
and my laptop
And i just bought the Rekon Audio Lead2 Editor but as i mentioned i cannot use it...
Any help is soooooooo important for me...
Thanks |

First of all I have to admit I’m not a fan of Rekon Audio, because the synth has knobs enough
How to use hardware…
You’ll need at least one Midi Cable.
Connect the Midi Keyboard Midi Out to the Midi In of the synth.
Select Midi channel 1 0n the KeyBoard.
Using [Shift+Midi] on the Nord select the same Midi channel. Be sure only LED of Slot A is lit.
Now you can control the synth by the Keyboard.
Instead of the Keyboard connect the Midi with the Midi interface Out.
Now it is connected with the computer.
Be sure Ableton’s Midi is selected to that particular Midi Out port!
Also selct the Midi channel here.
Now Ableton is able to control the synth.
Also rather important is the Audi Out (mostly Out A & B) has to be connected to a device which is able to sound, like an amplifier. Could be the computer also, but you have to use an audio In or a sound card.
This is all in a nut shell.
I’m sorry, but I can’t look over your shoulder into your studio set up.
