Question my patches are unreadable

i work with mac (Os x) but i transfer my patches in a usb-key and then i
send the file (with a .pch2 extension) with my pc (explorer + windows 2000).
Where is the error?

I have no idea what's wrong. If you have OSX and a PC, why not just hook up the G2 to the PC and save the patches to disk using the PC's G2 Editor?

I'm moving this to the general discussion forum because it's not a FAQ.

Probably beacause the internet computer and your PC use a different wayt to encode return / newline characters (line endings). Now the G2 patch format seems to be binary but the header is ASCII and so prone to return / newline translations when the patches go through various software on different types of computers. I think the Mac is not ivolved here.

When your only problem is in uploading patches from the PC to the internet it might be sufficient to just install the NM editor on the PC (without ever using it) - the patch files will then get registered as binary files and they should not be 'translated' anymore when traveling to another system.
