Blofeld bugs |

I wonder if there is a list somewhere of known Blofeld bugs?
I've been setting up my Nord Modular G2X to control the Blofeld via MIDI and a few things didn't work as expected. _________________ www.gregwaltzer.com |

I only ever found bits and pieces of one on the mailing list
I found most of my problems, which were mainly related to midi sync, were resolved when I updated to the latest OS _________________ Jez

I'm having trouble updating to the latest OS. I have 1.13 and am trying to update to 1.15, but when I send the .mid file, all that happens is the update screen with the bearded guy comes on, the file appears to get sent, and the the MIDI LED goes out and the Blofeld sits there at the update screen for as long as I leave it on (left it on for an hour).
I can power it off and turn it on again with apparently no corruption, but it's still on 1.13.
Does anyone have any ideas about what could be wrong? |

Is the latest update still 1.15?? What do they get up to at Waldorf...? Is the Blofeld considered a finished product maybe?
Anyway, there are a lot of posts on this over at the Waldorf list, I can't remember the details, but if you update via MIDI instead of USB and use a sysex program that can slow down the data transfer it should work.
USB is a little touch and go it seems, esp for upgrading - people seem to have varying results with it. _________________ Muied Lumens Sub Forum

That's exactly what I did. No luck.
I kind of don't expect to hear back from Waldorf on this at this point, but it'd be nice.
I haven't run into any bugs, but I would still like to have the latest... oh, yeah, I think user wavetables is what I'll get with this update, if I can find out why it's not updating. |

I heard from Holger at Waldorf. He said to use their Spectre software. First tried to run it through Wine, which worked, but the Blofeld was not recognised. It possibly could be, but I copied the software and update to my Windows partition, booted in, and as per Holger's advice, I was able to do the update via USB with Spectre. |

I got my blofeld out and upgraded it to 1.5 the other day. I had given up on it before as the ui was crap when it was receiving midi. 1.5 fixes this but I still don't like the little bugger. I just don't seem to like the sound of it. |
