Everything I hear and see about this makes me feel all nice and warm inside. Very Happy

Teaser video - more coming. Illucia is the hardware part of the equation, which provides patch points between different software that are not traditionally meant to be communicating with eachother - like games, music and text editor software. Illucia connects to a computer via USB.

The software will be released under the Creative Commons licence and is programmed in Processing iirc, and will be OSC compatible so you can roll your own using an iPad with TouchOSC for example.

I have no affiliation to this in any way, just spreading the word.

I'll look closer later, but at first glance this looks like a dream come true. Very Happy Thanks for sharing!

No problem! Very Happy

I don't know if this has been done before, but even so I find this an inspiring and refreshing new way of using software creatively! The illusia hardware adds to that, on top of being a beautifully built piece of gear. Will you be selling illusia (as kits maybe)?

I will be following this with interest.

I'm looking into the possibility of a small run of patchable hardware - I'd absolutely love to build instruments for people. I'd make a different (more portable, affordable, and flexible) form factor than the giant illucia console. Still some things to figure out before heading that direction though. I'll post more info on my blog, twitter, and facebook as things develop.
