It's still there, will turn it on.
All info about open ports is here. |

Here are the official links to info concerning streaming on electro-music.com
If you are streaming for the first time... mainly what you need is the free streaming software BUTT (google to download). It works on pc,mac, linux.
Then come into the electro chatroom and ask for help setting up a connection to the public port and someone can verify that your sound is being exported to the server.
BACKGROUND INFO on STREAMING:
Here is the link to streaming at electro-music in general:

@Dale - Sorry I don't get updates in this thread and was busy the last couple days. I think Jan probably answered your questions though.
@SPGoodman & electro-nyc - I am sorry but sign up is closed. I would love to hear both you play, but at this point we may be already understaffed for stream ops, so we can't add anyone on to the beginning or end.
If you are around during the day though... you can both be on stand-by if someone cancels or has technical issues and cannot stream (which does occur). _________________ ElectroCasa |

Shane I think this could be a possibility. We had considered in the past, but basically thought it bordered spamming too much, as well as some spam attack risks.
If Howard was interested in setting up a mailing list on the new server, I would post sign up notifications for our online concert series, Spring & Autumn Equinoxes, Summer Solstice, and New Years Eve (Winter Solstice). _________________ ElectroCasa |

I'd like to mention a nice streaming client I use for those of you on Linux: IDJC (Internet DJ Console). I haven't been able to get BUTT to work on my Linux DAW. Not sure if it's because I use a 64-bit kernel. Anyway, if you're interested in IDJC and aren't sure where to find it, PM me and I'll try to get you started.
IDJC has software processing options such as compression, limiting, multiple simultaneous streams, multiple input sources, DJ announcement, easy stream metadata editing, and stream recording. I find the compressor/limiter particularly helpful, as my stream tends to get very hot. |

Will we all be streaming from the same port at our scheduled times?
And what port will that be? _________________ "I'm the transmitter' I give information."

No, some people will use sc_trans, some people have personal ports and there are 5 public ports to be shared by those that must stream in another way.
I'll make a port schedule for the event in which I'll assign you to 8136 (the one you tested on earlier). _________________ Jan

DRAT! I've gone brain dead and forgotten how to get in to the ports ... Sigh. I guess I know what I'm doing tonight ... that, and hoping the new modem stays functional for the next few days! _________________ Try me ... ... said the Dalai Lama to the hot-dog vendor, "Make me one with everything." |

Not sure under what name you are in the schedule, but I think a public port was set asside for you, anyway ... all info for connecting to public ports is here <--- username: public; password public. _________________ Jan

Today is the last day for setting up a port for streaming at the event. We will likely not have the staff on hand for any troubleshooting tomorrow so please be sure to get all of your kinks worked out today.
People using the Public ports ... please follow these instructions.
1. All your streaming connection data is here (scroll down): http://bluehell.electro-music.com/radio_info/manage_public.php
2. Please go to the electro-music chat room and ask for a stream op to do a sound check on a public port with you to make sure you are connected to the server. There may not be anyone available at this time...but usually around noon our time, EU people are getting off work and hanging out. _________________ ElectroCasa |
