This patch started life as a FM gong. Using the same algorithm, I tweaked the operators to produce an electric bass guitar (sounds good only in the bottom few octaves).
I then decided to experiment with the morph's to create a variation that morphed from a bass to a gong. I came unstuck when I reached the 25 parameter morph limit. Rather than admit defeat, I changed the envelope generators to Mod ADSR so that using only two morph parameters, I could morph all 24 envelope controls. The idea is to have two constant modules set to morph between 0 to 1 and 0 to -1, connect these to the env mod inputs for up/down morph respectively. The parameter modulation amount then sets the morph range.
Just an exercise really, the result is spoilt somewhat by the useful ranges of the two sounds not having a significant overlap. I think it may also work better if I cross faded modulators rather than swept frequencies.

    Variation 1 = Original Gong.
    Variation 2 = Original Bass.
Variation 4 = Bass --> Gong on mod wheel morph group.

this patch is a good example for a "Wish list" idea I've had. After using morph groups as "partial" variation changes, I realized that I would like a feature that does what the wheel in (variation 4 of) your patch does. Just hit a button that lights up (like the morph), and any time you switch variations, all the knob setting of variation x will gradually fade into variation y over some specified amount of time.

By the way, the gong sounds cool too Very Happy
