Good stuff.
I am still a bit confused about how you were hearing both on playback though? |

That bothers me as well.

It was an issue with the control software for the soundcard, a Focusrite Saffire Pro40. I had to find a suitable preset for DAW recording within Saffire Control. I've been busy with interpersonal interfacing, so I won't have time to delve further into the matter, but superficially it seems to have been solved, thanks to the good people at electro-music.com! _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Sounds similar to the problem I had with Total Mix for my RME HDSP9652. My symptoms though were that I kept getting a strange flanging/hollow sound...the total mix program was routing unprocessed audio in parallel with the audio going to my external reverb. Because of processing delay I got a comb fitering effect.
The sound card control/mixing/mintoring apps can cause some strange/ irritating problems if you're not careful... _________________ Dave

Des, you're spot on! I suppose for a techno-ninny like myself, purchasing, or purloining, if you're a London hoodie, a piece of hardware with that kind of complexity should be approached with caution. I'm only speaking for myself, mind. _________________ Where there are too many policemen, there is no liberty. Where there are too many soldiers, there is no peace.
