Welcome to the Eventide section of E-M!

I'm Doug, I maintain vSigX, the Eventide Harmonizer editing program. I'm working on a remote control application that will work with both the Eclipse and the bigger Harmonizers. While vSigX only runs on the Mac, the new remote control app will work on Mac, Windows and Linux...

I think Eventide makes the best effects units on the planet.

Let's have some fun!

Hi Dougster!

What USB-Serial interface do you recommend for vSigX? I've been meaning to write some new Orville algorithms.

I use the Keyspan USA-19HS myself. Should be less than $30 US...

Yeah, even though I already have a GTR4000 (will full sampler add on!) and an H8000FW, I just got an Eclipse myself. Love this thing!

Heehee, nope. I have just been collecting gear for a long time and I have been patient (and lucky). It probably doesn't hurt that I have a decent job and a very tolerant wife.

I got the GTR4000 first, then got the sampler option from ebay. A year or two after that, I got an H8000 and then had it upgraded to the FW version. The Eclipse was a demo unit...

I'm working on that! I plan to organize what I have collected so far and upload it as a zip file...

Hi M,

Let me know what isn't working and I'll try to help!

One thing to remember is that a lot of the operations take a long time, especially things like downloading the database. I've been adding a lot of dialog boxes to the new version to give updates while the system is busy doing something. Don't know if that is related to what you're seeing...

Regards,
Doug

Just a quick message to say hi to everyone and thanks to Doug for starting up this Eventide part of EM forums. Look forward to seeing how it develops.

Thanks again.

Welcome to E-M! There's a lot of good stuff here besides this Eventide forum too...

Let me know if you have any ideas for how this topic should develop! I'm planning to bring some of the stuff over from the old Yahoo group so that it is more accessible. Hopefully we'll get some programming tutorials going as well...
