one of the first daws i tried was flstudio 8. i immediately did not like it. ive used sonar ever since, but recently started more with midi, but without a keyboard. sonar is more for recording, and was looking for somewhere to play with my midi to mix into sonar. i first tried the flstudio 8 again because i still had the same install but didn't like it again, but something that i noticed that i absolutely loved was the integrated internal midi. i didn't have to switch focus to bomes software keyboard. i tweaked a synth, and hit my computer keyboard and it was midi.
are there any other daws with this capability?

Reaper does midi and it's cheap. It also has a layout that should translate well from Sonar.

I love what imageline is doing with the new editions of FL Studio....I say stick around or rewire it into a DAW, but you know what they say...

Workflow is the only thing that really counts, and so does the worker...the DAW doesn't mean much, it's just how you use the tool Very Happy
