Ever since they updated the website I get a 404 on my desktop when I try to navigate to the site...but it works on every other computer I've tried! Anyone else having this problem? Or know what might be causing it?

http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/

???

Works fine here. Very Happy

Why not try to kill your browser´s cache?

Possibly, if that doesn´t work you could try to use another browser.. like Opera or Safari or whatever and see if that changes anything.

PC or Mac?

It's the weirdest thing...
I've cleared everything in the cache, cookies, etc. I've tried different browsers. I don't think it's a problem with the site--I think my computer is blocking it for some reason. Disabled AdBlock and anti-virus, no luck. I can load it on my phone and work computer fine. It's just at home that I get the 404. So strange...

Try to see what ip and exactly what the website points to from home?
And then compare IPs, routes and whatnot with what you get at work?

Quote:
The 404 or Not Found error message is a HTTP standard response code indicating that the client was able to communicate with the server, but the server could not find what was requested. A 404 error should not be confused with "server not found" or similar errors, in which a connection to the destination server could not be made at all. A 404 error indicates that the requested resource may be available again in the future.

So in order to actually get a 404 you are obviously communicating with something out there. Best way to sort this out is to figure out exactly what sends you the 404.

I'm getting a 404 too. The URL from my MFOS bookmark shows as:
http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/mfosweb/home.action

Try changing the bookmark/favorite to:

http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/

that worked for me.

Very Happy

If the bookmark leads to a missing page then a 404 from the server is not unreasonable at all.

blah, I am an idiot. It was redirecting me because I had it favorited. Even after I removed it from the favorites and deleted cookies, however, it still redirected me to the 404 page. I just deleted everything (cookies, cache, browsing history) again and now it works. I think I didn't delete my browsing history last time and that's what got me.
Thanks for the tips!

So, now everyone is on track with Ray's new site, I have 2 questions:

Does anyone know where the the projects from the OLD site are?
By old site i don't mean the previous site, but the one preceeding that:

http://www.musicfromouterspace.com/index_oldsite.php?page=HOME

And now that all the pictures have been moved to Facebook, the captions with the names of the builders are missing. Or am I overlooking something?

If you right click in the right frame you can open that frame in a new tab or window for a full view.
