This is based largely on work posted by IK. It is a low frequency version of his saw oscillator with added control of ramp direction. A single signed knob or CV controls both the rate and direction of the ramp, Negative values give increasing frequency downward ramps while positive values give increasing frequency upward ramps, zero stops oscillation. It is functionally the same as a LfoShpA set to a ramp with a value controlling the direction input, the most significant difference apart from a modest saving in dsp, is the reset is nice and sharp. The sluggish ramp reset on the LfoShpA renders it useless for some applications, like feeding the SeqCtr for example.

Ah, a decent reset, just what the doctor ordered :-)

Thanks a million for this.

Ironically, before I posted my Shepard tone patch yesterday, I almost posted a request for something like this... because such an LFO will allow the tone to move up, down, or stop., w/o changing timbre

Back to the drawing board!

Thanks again for this - it's helping me do something that I think will be really cool.

but I think there's an error, or at least a sub-optimal setting, in the block: the low reset level should be -64, not 0, in order to get a full bipolar swing.. yes?

Works better for me that way, anyway.

Yes, I must have fooled with it and not put it back Embarassed.

Being able to modulate the upper and lower limits is quite nice.
