erm.....
That doesn't help at all. All it does is point me to one of your 'ads'.
I think you can do better than that! Post a schematic or something. _________________ ACHTUNG!

While you're working on your site, can you possibly add a few things?
- pictures of the backsides of the modules. It would show off your workmanship.
- musical samples of the modules. Are there youtube videos of them in action? It would make the usefulness of the modules more evident.
- any background about you, why you want to build modules (to sell, or otherwise). I think it would help people know you. This is a small world, and I can understand people might be very wary. These things would help, even if you don't want to post a schematic.
And regarding schematics and circuit board pictures... I mentioned that the SDIY and modular collector world can be very wary. Believe me; if you designed these circuits, slap your copyright on them when you post them, or give a reference to the actual source, which is fine too. My point is, that this will be discovered as soon as you actually sell some modules, so I think it would be good to just show what you're doing.
Unique modules are always of interest. But there have been a lot of module vendors who have failed along the way. I can't make you do anything, but I can politely make suggestions; your modules might be hot shit but I don't know many people who will buy them without more detail. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

Where are your oscillators? Wouldn't that be the most important part of the modular? All I see are sequencers. How do they work? What sets these apart from say a simple circuit made with a 4017 and a 555 clock? And why are all the switches on the 'trigger sequencer' down, squashed up in the left hand side of the panel? Is there a board on the other side or something?
Also have you heard of Schaeffer, who make panels? I'm not to sure about the workmanship around those LED's. A Schaeffer panel would look far better.
PS I found this;
http://www.xs4all.nl/~krooshof/instrumenten/fuzzing.html
on the LED fuzz circuit. How does your design differ and even improve on this version? The idea sounds really cool. _________________ ACHTUNG!

lot of hints there
1. no CV modules: my moduls are addictions to existing 5U systems - there're enough VCO, VCA, VCF in my opinion - and analogue sequencers.
2. video is planned. the shown case is too small, new is in progress; and for the math trigger i need 16 generators: 2 beatboxes which i can enter, 1 done.
3. masterclock: NO 555
it's designed for a precise clocker for live events and based on an quartz oscillator and 3 divider stages, the mid is programmable.
its has a value table.
4. trigger sequencer: your right - there's the pcb backyard
5. LED fuzz: 2 opamps - 1st as amp, his output to the LEDs by a resistor and the 2nd opamp as output stage.

song example:
led fuzz used for bass drum (curetronic vcf reso) and SD (vermona er9)
http://soundcloud.com/trouby/hardstyle-bleeps
and diy sequencer, curetronic c301 kit, logan string melody, tr-77 - and for sure the masterclock
bolt screws: maybe use senking screws before putting the printing...
website updated, too. |
