Hi

I think I've seen something about this in here before, but since I couldn't find it, I decided to open a new post.

I got this week a Nord Lead 3 but unfortunately the blue painting near the mod-wheel, is a bit off...
Is it possible to repair this?
Since there are no letter in that area and it's only the same color that needs to be fixed, I was hoping it would be possible...
If so, what do I have to do in order to get my Nord Lead 3 looking good again?

On a side note, the seller sold it to me as in pretty good shape.

When I got it, I noticed it had that painting damage (I haven't seen a photo before, so it was totally unexpected to me considering his words).

Later at home, I noticed it also stinks to tobacco smoke and three keys have small cigarette burns (not big, but when you play you can notice the key has some irregularities).
And when I tried it at first, the buttons weren't responding that well (after some tapping they now seem to respond), but one of them sometimes seems to get stuck if I press it down...
Another problem is that when I want to have all the four parts active, I have no idea on how to turn a part off... I could get only one part working, but I'm not sure how... I think it might the buttons that are not responding that well...

I bought it knowing of the painting issue (but only saw it right when I was going to buy it...), but the other things seem a bit off to me...
I paid around 620 euros for it, which I think is a good price (especially cause it came with the original soft-case), but I think the condition is not what was advertised at all...

I just hope I can solve the painting issue, cause the rest I guess can be solved with some cleaning.

Nobody here has a suggestion?

I'd really like to fix the paint on my Lead 3 Smile
It's such a good looking synth so it's a real shame the paint damage... Sad

Thanks in advance,
Best

You could take the top cover off and show it to a car bodywork centre...?

With a bit of finesse and practice, you could also do this yourself, with some careful taping and a spray can. The real trick is to match up the colour, but if you don't need it to be an exact match you could possibly get away with it.

I'd want to get the same color...

Since it's only a bit in the end, I'd expect it to be possible, but I have no idea of how to do it...

Anyone knows what paint I should get to have it the same color?
Or am I better off trying to contact Clavia directly?

I don't know .. but http://nm-archives.electro-music.com/010_NordModular/018_FAQ/ has some info on Nord Modular colors (scroll down to the bottom). That info was given by Clavia BTW when someone asked.
