Why do you hate Christmas?
Subject description: No, not really soliciting for h8ers |

So, like, I've been walking around asking people at work that question and I get all these, like, "WHAT? I don't hate Christmas!" reactions.
But then I point to their desks and say "Then where are all the Christmas cookies? If you truly understood what Christmas was all about, you'd have cookies at your desk for me."
And then I get these indignant replies: "Well, where are yours? I see you don't have any cookies out for us to share" quite oblivious to the howling error they have just made.
"Look at me," I say. "I'm old, I'm fat, I'm jolly and have a white beard. Do I LOOK like the kind of guy who should bake cookies for Christmas...or do I look like the kind of guy who's supposed to EAT cookies at Christmas?"
Not much they can say to that.
...so what's your excuse?

The most wonderful Yule time! The Winter Solstice and all that.. brilliant..
Too bad the infidels have done their best to destroy a perfectly decent norwegian celebration. Coca Cola trademarked santas? Three wise men? Virgin births?

You have read about that one? 
We aren´t too bothered with it. It is perfectly possible to buy butter, but not in insane quantities.. and it is slightly more expensive. However, we don´t use much real butter anyway in our household. I would have been more concerned if the olive oil suddenly went the way of the greek economy.

I read Norwegians craved butter more than anything else and that it was illegally imported to the country by the Russian mafia

I can promise you that someone did exactly that.
Yes, there is a shortage of butter, but not at all truly critical.
However, various criminal organizations have been selling goods to the catering and restaurant industries for decades.. and I´m sure butter must be on their list as well. But that is nothing new..
