i uploaded a screenshot of the PCB to the 1st post. the board could be even smaller, when we went without the MTA and the power headers. or repace the MTA156 and the doepfer by a MTA100...
I saw a neat PCB design recently that embedded the Doepfer power connector within the MTA156 pads, making a compound layout that save quite a bit of PCB space. I can't quite remember where I saw it though
edit:
Found it. Ironically it was for the Duofonik dual SSM2044 PCB over on MW, here:

I'll take at least two of these PCB. More than glad to send some money to his family to help out in any way possible in this difficult time.
Jurgen's version of the wasp filter was one of my first DIY synth projects - about 10 years ago I built it on strip board. I've used it many times since - I love it... such a great sound.
I recently used it for the guitar solo in this song - the distortion/sustain/filter is 100% Jurgen's wasp, with his CMOS distortion add-on (skip forward to 2:20-ish):

good idea.
the boards size is 3.7x1.8 at the moment... _________________

Wow, great to see a member of such a cool band on this forum!
I'm in for one too. Can never have too many filters. _________________ Weblog!
harry_w has finally managed to get in touch with the haible family. this is what he wrote in the original thread:
Quote:
fonik (Matthias) already raised a call in his forum area for pre-ordering WASP clone PCB (fonik's own layout, Jurgen never created one) and said to donate 5 EUR per ordered piece to the family. This also needs to be delayed, at least until the legal aspects (copyright, licensing, pricing) are cleared with Jurgen's partner and the attorney.
sounds good to me. thank you harry for doing this... a lot of phone calls, email and such... _________________

I had wondered as well about the differences between the CGS and Fonik versions of this filter. As my system is MOTM format and I like MTA's, I would probably be less interested in these PCBs if they went too far in the Eurorack direction. I generally really like the layouts and manufacturing of your PCBs so if this stays consistent with some of the ones I've built (PS3100, Ring) I'm still in for 2.
Of course I see we need to wait a while on this project anyways, per the latest update from Harry W. And if Eurorack format wins here ultimately I'll buy Ken's design and give an extra $10 to the JH fund. _________________ -Jim

yep. i like to have the PCBs in a generic format, so that you could build in any synth format you like. however, this means more wiring, since there are no footprints for any PCB mounted front panel components. _________________
