A6 patch backup? Subject description: Looking for easy backup for my A6 patches |
|
|
Hi all..
It has been a long time since I have looked at this: Are there any good freeware patch data backup programs for the A6? I've got MacOS X Snow Leopard. I sorta recall "Sysex Librarian" might work. Are there others, too?
While individual patch management would be nice, I'd be happy with a program that just grabs the entire internal User banks and external card banks and saves them in case they get wiped out.
Also -- is it possible to plug the external SRAM card into a PC laptop and back it up that way somehow? I have a Windows PC laptop down in my basement, which has a PCMCIA slot on it.
I know there is MidiQuest, but I'm not willing to pay $200 for it, as I don't use any of my synths often enough to justify the cost.
Thanks much!

no problem under cubase,
just make sure you unlock the sysex filter !
( somewhere under
cubase-> preferences->midi->filters ) |

The Andromeda lets you dump individual patches or entire banks.
Sysex Librarian handles both. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/Mefistophelees |

Thanks guys. I may do some experimenting this evening. I have never gotten around to saving patches to the computer on the A6, since I didn't have a dedicated tool for it. My other synths all came with software for patch management of some sort.
Anyway, it has been WAY too long since I've spent any serious time in the synth room, so I hope to have some nice tracks soon. We'll see what happens.
