Despite I've visited this site many times as a reader, this is the first time I post something here, and the reason is that I want to share with you the project I've been working on for the last months. It is the Synth Core B ( http://tolaemon.com/scoreb/index.htm ), a development board focused to controller-synth-audio applications. It is a completely free project, so you can take any part of the software or the hardware and use it in your designs, even if you want to sell it. You can do whatever you want with it, the only condition is to mention the source as specified in the license conditions.

These are some of its features:
- Atmel AVR32 AT32UC3A-512, an audio focused 32-bit MCU with DSP features ( achieves nearly 100 DMIPs) , 512KB of program flash and 64KB internal SRAM
- 32MB external SDRAM
- MIDI interface ( with MIDI IN, MIDI OUT, AND MIDI THRU )
- FTDI serial to USB port ( FT232RL FTDI )
- RS-232 debug channel
- Host-Device USB port
- 2 SD cards slots
- LCD interface
- 7 ADCs connectors for potentiometers ( more can be used using switching techniques )
- 40 I/O bus lines ( with USART, SPI ... ) to interface other audio processors or peripherals
- Line out - headphones preamplifier for the audio bitstream DAC (
- The softwares (divers & API ) to control all the peripherals in an "easy way"
- An audio bitstream DAC on which I have to do some corrections to improve the S/N ratio which now is very low

That looks nice, tolaemon Smile

Are you planning on selling populated boards?

I would like to sell some boards,10 for interested people, maybe on summer. I understand that It would be easier for developers to buy a mounted and finished board, than doing everthing themselves from the begining, but at this time I don't have too much time and I would like to distribute boards with the DAC issue solved. I'll keep you informed Smile
