I like the slow attack/quick decay effect after the two minute mark or so and towards the end.
Sounds like this could potentially be a new age friendly piece minus the mechanical noise later on. The minimal melody line that repeats throughout the piece doesn't hook me but I like the way it's delivered as though it just occurred to you. Also like how the timbre of it changes once or twice to keep it interesting, would be cool to hear it morph more though.

new age friendly, uh, okay imagine there's this book store on a busy commercial street, you stop at the store front because of the incense fragrance pouring out.. past the window displays of crystals and healing coffee table books you hear wind chimes, inside they're playing something from the windham hill label i'm guessing... it's a new age friendly shop..actually haven't heard any new age music for many years so I don't if windham hill is still doing what they used to do.

Windham Hill? i have seen that name somewhere. Anyway.. I just edited the initial post and put in some images.. in order to kinda make the right mood for "Assault". I just saw that the ID3 tags for the piece is wrong.. I have for some reason messed up the tags.. trying to correct this now.

elektro 80

i take great pleasure in informing you , that your music sounds NOTHING at all like new age, yanni or any of those - not at all

windham hill new age Question no way .... not sure what agent a is thinking over there

i find your music has a deep serious tone to it, evoking images that challenge and tantalize us to action..inner and outer

not at all passive or fluffy like new age

I don't write new age music, nor am I a big fan of it, but some new age music is excellent. I particularly like the music of Paul Avgerinos. Very beautiful. His CDs are available at the electro-music.com store, but the music stands on it's own.

I agree, though, Elektro80 doesn't sound new age to me.

THX, guys. Anyway, I have no probs with new age music whatever that is. I did hear some stuff on the radio some years ago which was supposedly new age. Some songs were embarrassingly sweet, but then they played some stuff which was just pure gold. Great music. Perhaps new age is partly about marketing? Dunno.. I have no idea what this is.
On the other hand, I have seriously problems with what they over here are calling the new age movement. The perverted take on middle east and asian religions seems mostly disrespectful and obscene to me. I might be wrong. Norwegians are trying to make peace in the Middle East.. so.. what do we know?

The link to the music files have been removed. There might be some CD releases "soon"
