finished drilling the front panel
for my not so SympleSEQ64
a few more minor changes Laughing

now if only the kits would show up Rolling Eyes

should be any day now i hope
oh well still have a long way to go
anyways

now if only everything plays together as it should
this will be a most wonderfull sequencer Cool

I added a 2nd main gate out [thats the odd jack added to the last column]
just above that is now a 12 throw rotary switch to select various gates
for that output from the 8 sequencer columns via a diode matrix.
A very last minute change as i originally intended a pot to go there for
another function that didnt work out, ha so much for evil genius Laughing

of course it would have been better to have 8 on/off switches for that
but i had already drilled for a pot and now lacked the necessary panel space, so diode matrix and 12 way switch it is. Embarassed

I also have a second main cv output to go with that gate output but with an added switchable offset
-5 to +5 octaves and 0 to +11 semitones
nice to be able to do that from the sequencer Smile

feature creep always seems to become a little rampant whenever i build
anything Laughing

there are no measurements on the drill template in the manual.
does anybody have a fpd-file to share?

I always do an FPD drawing for laying out panels first
though in this particular case i used the drill templates
for drilling the sequencer positions and my own FPD drawing
for all the add ons
if i get my kits before you , so i can do a double check
i may have an FPD i can send you [there is a very small discrepancy between my workings out and the actual drill template measurements ]
not enough to be a huge concern but enough that i woudnt want to pass it on before checking.

yes i got a notice from "post" that a package had been handed over to customs because there was no bill included on the outside. it was about a week ago but i made it there just today.
btw i must have been one of the last guys who got it sent, it was well after the whole indiegogo thing.

today is the day: PCBs/kits arrived save and sound Cool

now to the frontpanels.

i decided to do a 6U/19'' panel, with 4x symplseq's, two dividers, two seqswitches, and a mixer. some multiples too. will have to ponder about the mixer though (matrix?).
it will be mostly modular, so i have all the freedom.

BTW today i tried my inverting divider and the seqswitch, and have been able to create 4x 8 steps in series (to link the sympleseq's in series): 12345678-12345678-12345678-12345678,
and running the seqswitch at the same speed as the clock, to step thru the 4 sequencers 1st steps, then the 2nd, then the 3rd and so forth:1111-2222-3333-4444-5555-6666-7777-8888.
with two sets of divider/seqswitches/multiples and a common mixer for all 4 seq's i could create rather complex structures, i believe.
@diablojoy: did you try that? you suggested to have double triggers due to the propagation time of the CMOS?

Hi Fonik -

I'm interested in some sort of clock controller and related stuff. I just ordered a Yusynth clock divider, but it seems like there could be a lot more interesting things possible....

havent tried anything yet in real life so to speak
still waiting for sequencer kits to show
so its all in my head but quietly confident
i should be getting my prototype dual 8 way sequential switch back
from the board house early next week
and I will be using a CGS VC divider to clock it
so odd patterns should be available

oh also added yet another jack that i almost forgot
a reset jack for the divider yet more mayhem Laughing

now at 74 x 1/4 inch jacks i think that might be some sort of record for
one panel that isnt just a patch bay Shocked
