I don't think you know what you're asking for...

The MB-808 always comes with a sequencer on the PCB:

i'm basically looking for an 808 clone, as close as possible, just like the 9090 in case of the 909. the mb808 looks to me like the closest one, beside the other candidates like miami, mfb, and several others.
since i already own a cirklon (midi & CV/gate) i don't really need another external sequencer.
as far as i remember is it also possible to build the mb808 without the sequencer-part (as doug is probably working on it right now).

There has only been one MB-808 board (with 2 minor revisions). Both have a sequencer and all the 808 instruments.

At some point Doug will be coming out with the 808 voice boards. In terms of any raw 808 instrument pcb, your only viable option is to contact Doug:

There may be others who haven't built their MB-808 who would be willing to sell the kit to you, but don't hold your breath.

Re. Cirklon - it only has 8 gate outs and the MB-808 has 12 separate instruments.

according to colin from sequentix the cirklon will soon have the option to send an analogue/digital hybrid signal through its din-sync port with 16 channels (maybe expandable to 32). this signal can be demuxed and you get 16 triggers each with its buffered CV.
so with the expanded option you will be able to trigger both 8080 and 9090 together Smile

i prefer the trigger option over midi since its much tighter, so in case i would find a mb808 i will probably trigger it directly.
anyway, i think its clear what im looking for (i know they're rare and ive already been in contact with doug), so please pm me if you could offer me something.
