Hello from Minnesota |
 |
|
Just wanted to say hello. I'm a guitar player/DIY'er I've been into building guitar effects for several years and have buit a ton of different ones. I recently wanted to try something more challenging and have always been interested in synths and what I can do with one and a guitar. I found Music from outerspace's web site and the Sub commander guitar synth. Definatly more challenging than any of the delays and flangers I've built in the past but I'm taking my time and triple checking everything and am giving the Sub commander a go. Looks like a lot of great information here and have had good luck with searching most of the questions I've had before I started this build.

Glad to see you've had good luck finding information here. If you have more questions (or when), pipe up. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

| Thanks I will. This is a pretty intense build but pretty straight forward and from some of the things I've been reading here and some of the clips I have heard it's probably just going to be the beginning for me with synths. |

That's for taking this project on.
Someday, I hope to deserve the confidence it must take to even consider building that thing. The sound samples are great; exactly what I'm looking for.
Will you keep us posted on this? If it's not too invasive, would you mind turning this into a build thread, with pics and reports and what-have-you? I know that takes up more of your time, but you seem to be into patience and stuff. There's very little build info posted about this project. Dan from Beavis Audio apparently built it; I'm sure he wouldn't mind giving some advice if you have questions. Anyway, godspeed good man! _________________ "The life of a repo man is always intense." |

Oh man this one is giving me big time headaches, nothing works but a little clean sound through it. Been rechecking things but I just can't get it to work so far.
Trouble is I'm color blind on top of it all so I'll have to sit down with my wife and have her read the resistor colors for me next. Make sure I didn't mess something up there. |

Hi jay66 -
What part of MN are you in? I'm up on the north border.
How are you doing on the project? I have not built it, but have built a lot from MFOS, I would be happy to help you troubleshoot... Shoot me a PM if you want.
