After Arturia contacted Nyle for a photo and to get his impressions, he called me to say one of the photos he gave Arturia had a shot of the Synthasystem he helped me with in the background and to ask if it was OK to use the photo. I loved the idea that Arturia might use that photo, but was even more excited to hear Arturia was implementing Nyle's filter somehow.
And again, Yves, when I found out it was your implementation, I was even more excited to own one. If Nyle doesn't get one of his own, be sure I'll loan him mine to play with for awhile

Using a coupon code (that has now expired) I was able to pre-order mine in the U.S. for $425 with free shipping.
Really exited about this synth. Congrats indeed Yves! |

Congratulations Yves!
The Minibrute sounds great. Funny that Arturia produces a true analog synth after all those emulations. It looks very modern, almost like a MIDI controller. I'm curious about the weight and overall feel of the thing. |

I don't think Arturia's demo really does this thing justice. _________________ ACHTUNG!

Congratulations Yves!
When I first read about this synth I was really surprised that Arturia had produced this, and as soon as I saw the specs and price, and heard the demos, I fell in lust with the minibrute.
I am saving for one now, really excited by this one.

What is the CV "standard" this synth follows (ie - V/Hz, V/oct, 0-10V, 5V gate?) |

Thanks! Since it follows Moog...I also assume then it's a negative trigger (S-Trig)?
Is there a scheme to the connectors (TRS with signal/supply/gnd, vs. TS with signal/gnd)? |

The S-Trig gate was an “old Moog” standard that was never widely used by other synth builders. Now, even the “new Moog” synths use the positive going gate signal as a standard (normally 0V to +5V). _________________ varice |

I think he means a bit the look and feel [/quote]
I think he meant the 1 V/8va and the V trig. That is what Moog used in his modulars, at least the later ones. _________________ --Howard

Thanks Howard, that's what I meant.
Only saying "CV" is a lot like saying "digital outputs"....spdif, aes/ebu, adat, madi?... |

If so it is the case of almost all neo-analogue monophonic synths... _________________ Yves |
