Where, when, why and how come... |

...you got the A6?
A couple of days ago, an old friend of mine asked:
why did you choose Andromeda beetween Andromeda and Hartmann Neuron?
and i answered...well my friend...i will tell you a story...i had the doubt just because i wanted to buy a BIG NEW synth...and the best and expensive around where Andy and Neuron...but I HAD TO TRY both...before deciding.
So....
2000-2001...i read somewhere about A6...
well...went around on the web, and i did find mp3 demos for the all presets.
A first sense of pure ELECTRICITY went in my veins...i saied:
GOTTA FIND AND TRY IT! Later i will find a Neuron to compare.
I started calling every store around me in about 200 Kms...finally i did find one.
About 120 Kms...so quite far, but i leaved.
The man in the big store welcomed me like: OH MY LORD! YOU LIKE ANDROMEDA? WELL YOU're WELCOME! IT IS THE ONLY ONE IN OUR REGION! AND ONLY ONE MAN HAS IT AROUND...and named a pop musician very famous in the zone...
we went upstairs...and i saw it FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I admit...
my heart was beating like being modulated by a speedlight LFO...oh well...you know what i mean...
the man connected the baby to a pair of big speakers...
and leaved me alone with the keyboard.
I powered up the thing...
the screen lighted in green...you know...
pumped up the volume...
and played 3 keys i will never forget.
C minor chord...C...G up a fifth...and Eflat up a tenth...
WITH MY LEFT HAND...
the preset was BRAIN ACTIVITY.
In the mean time the sound went out off of the speakers...the same power went into my left arm...
I WAS COMPLETELY UNABLE TO MOVE IT.
After about 50 seconds i realized that i never noticed in my my life how the hell could be AMAZING a C minor chord...except for Beethoven's fifth...obviously....
After about 120 seconds playing the same chord...i decided to move...played a Bb major in the same position...oh well...more and more
i guess that arpeggio patch sounded around in the store for about 5 minutes with no pauses...because someone passing around started to look at me in a STRANGE BORED WAY.
Suddendly...i had a mistyc force to move my right hand...and slowly i started to tweak the filters knobs with the same touch id use to tweak the nipples of the women of my life...and....
Oh infinite Lord of the sky and of the Earth!!!
Unbelivable.
I stopped the sound.
And thought...
I need just one more experiment.
if that filter modeled on the moog type...can do that thing there's just one thing i could do....
and my friend asked?
What thing??
I: I SHOULD DIE!
Cut off down...resonance at maximum...and...YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS...
and my friend:
so!?!? What did you do??
I: what the hell do you thing i could have been doing????
I INSTANTLY DIED.
....or something like that...
so....
...i switched off...and went dowstair to sign the deal where i had to pay the baby in 2 years. 90 euros per month or something like that.
so my friend asked again...
and the Neuron? Did u try it?
Oh yeah...the Neuron.
I've never ever played a note on that thing.
No need to compare with anything else, brother.
It is just a question of love.
I am new here...hi all |

welcome
funny, i also bought mine in the same period and had the same kind of consideration . i choose the a6, no doubt.
later i was able to confirm the righteousness of my choice by buying a neuron-vs. although the sounds of the neuron are weird, the system always works a bit uncomfortable and buggy. they sell very cheaply now and run reasonably well on somewhat older computers, if you might try the neurons once.
( a real keyboardversionneuron is hard to find nowadays )
anyway welcome again to the a6 forum.
really am curious to your "busyness " with the a6 over the years . |

lol thank you
gotta say that in my arsenal there's also a Virus TI2 polar...and other old nice stuff...so it is hard to find something new i could desire actually.
The only one dream actually is a PPG wave i have a nice place side by side with the andy...about a year ago i was really closed to buy a perfect one, i just had doubt for the price, almost 6000 euros ehehe, but it was perfect.
The time i took to think...the seller gave it away, It was not ebay, private.
Next time i will take it for sure, it is a dream |
