I'd like to introduce everyone to a new record label: Paper Thin Records, well actually it is not entirely new, but we finally have a web site. www.paperthinrecords.com We specialize in instumental indie, psuedo-outsider and rock/noise/experimental artists. Oh yeah and music that is just fun. As you may see the site is not completly done.

About that:

Does anyone know about making mp3's work in Explorer? They pop-up fine in safari and firefox. Also our buy buttons appear in explorer and firefox but not safari. Oh the complicated world of the internets.

welcome Avi. Glad to have you here.

Your new site looks pretty wild.

If you are going to do web development, then you need to have one of every browser and make sure it works on each one. I'm not sure what problems you are having because I use FireFox for most of my browsing and your site seems fine with that on. Be carefull if you use Java because Apple isn't always up-to-date. It's a challenge to make things work across the board, so I try to keep it simple and still stuff doesn't work for everyone. Crying or Very sad

I checked the site with both IE and Mozilla on XP using WMP and QuickTime on both as the default player, that all works for me.

Couldn't get any audio to play through Winamp or Zinf though - but since I installed the QuickTime & iTunes duo things are messed up a bit.

Anyway, it's a bit of mess media over the internet.

Nice site !

hey, thanks a lot for your input it has been very helpfull. So people using IE on XP should make sure that quicktime is also checked as a default player? I apologize for sounding naive but how do I do that in IE on my mac?

Usually, when you install QT, it makes itself the default player. In fact, I've found it hard to change that preference without deinstalling QT. Maybe just reinstall QT and it will make things QT-centric.

When SP-2 is installed on windows XP you should have an entry "Set program access and defaults" in your start menu or somewhere. You can use that tool to change the default music player. Unfortunately that doesn't work for all programs but for the QT version I have it does,
