I've been looking for a decent x-y scanner for a laser. Got plenty of lasers but most x-y scanners are crap. The last one I built was kind of funky, it's a kit but uses two sets of rotating mirrors to get the scan, and a mirror mounted on a speaker to get the modulation (y). Frequency response is horrible due to the effects of the speaker and the mass of the mirror on it. I figured a decent x-y scanner would be not cheap, so I'm not surprised at the cost.

Nice stuff though.
