Hi there,

Can someone clear something up for me,

"The following outputs are for internal use only, when connected to the switch bank and output buffer boards: ODIS (output disable), CLK OUT (clock out), C1 to C8 (column outputs). Do NOT bring these output out to front panel jacks, as you may damage the circuitry."

I am a bit confused as to what I can bring out onto the front panel. I wasn't going to build a buffer board, just single gate outs on SPST and one row of CV. But I did want to add an output jack for each step of the sequencer, kind of like a clock divider.

Can I not bring column outs to the front panel?

Cheers
Ali

I'm sure you can - you just need to add some buffers.

Thanks Gary,

I dont understand how it could damage the circuit...

It looks to me like Ken chose to use +15V and Gnd on the chips driving that logic. if you brought those lines out, and inadvertently plugged in a signal that was going below ground (say a waveform with +/- 5V on it), you could probably damage the chips.

I'm guessing that's what Ken was looking out for.
