We had a nice little listening party in the chat room last night and checked out some completed and in-progress tracks from me, Shane Morris, Dan Miñoza, Joel (darkvortex) and a couple others... some really killer contributions coming together for this! Should be a great release...

Adam / onewayness

Um... problem. I got this back after sending mine in:

<editoradoporto>: message size 67893477 exceeds size limit 35882577
of server gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com[74.125.115.27]

Do you have another address, or maybe free up some space on this account?

(Incidentally, I tried to send this twice from another gmail account. It failed there both times. I sent it from my own mail server and it went through, only to return with a problem on the receiving end.)

I'd recommend using a service like sendspace, etc., rather than trying to email it directly. That's what I did.

Cheers,
Adam / onewayness

Just sent mine in. Can't wait to hear the full collection.

Maybe I could do a one off radio show and play them all? That sound like a good idea?

Cheers, Joel... Smile

We did have a little pre-release listening party yesterday in the chat room. A few of us played our submissions to each other and/or swapped links.

But we should definitely have a POST release listening party I think Very Happy

The listening party is a cool idea! It has been done in previous years and has been great fun.
However, doing a pre-listening party will spoil the momentum... at least, that's my opinion.
Many will be left out and wishing they had listened to others' works too. Not fair.
We should wait for the release date, which should be in March and will depend on the number of tracks and on the cover delivery.
Surprise is an important factor!
Let's be patient ( ;

I like the listening party idea.

I wanted to post mine here for the radio, but I also figured it would be better to wait for the compilation to be released first. Smile

Thanks OCP , I was dissapointed to feel I had missed out on any sort of release party even if it is only a handful of us sitting in a virtual room listening from different parts of the world. I look forward to the full release party! transformer party time!

The deadline is up!
We've matched the same number of tracks as in the first NMNL compilation (1Cool.
Now I'll take some time to do the mastering (level matching, some EQ) and to upload almost 800 MB worth of great music.
The cover was delivered today by David and I'll leave you with a preview.

Thank you all for the contributions and for your patience Wink
