I made a track the other day where I constructed all sounds from a sampled electric toothbrush, and all done with the simple sampler and fx in ableton live.
It's been a while since I did something like this (when I was younger I did a lot of wierd stuff just for the heck of it) and I really enjoyed doing this. I believe it can be a creativity boost to narrow your tools for composing and by posting it here I hope to encourage more people to to wierd stuff just to challange yourself.
For myself I thought this was so much fun that I've desided to do a string of tracks called "household techno" with other home equipment. Suggestions what to use next accepted gladly! Smile

Music is first of all made from imagination and creativity, not from expensive equipment! (in this case, a toothbrush recorded through the built-in mic of a laptop with ableton live) Very Happy

Just thought I'd tell you that I made a promise on other sites that if enough people come push the 'like' button on my facebook fanpage, I will share the Ableton project files for this toothbrush thing... Very Happy

That's awesome. I've been recording household items and making sampler/simpler synths but I've yet to try make a whole song out of 1 sample..
Cool stuff

That was brilliant! Plus, I just learnt how to do some new things on Ableton, thank you.
