Birch Transmogrifier is a music project consisting of music generated by wmonk and his modular synthesizer with wooden panels - that's the Birch - and myself receiving his audio and morphing it with ChucK processing - that's the Transmogrifier.

The combination leads to some original and interesting sounds that go on for at least an hour of performance while still maintaining the listener's interest. wmonk and I are going to revisit this project and see if ocp will release it as an album on his EdP netlabel for free download.

In this thread I'm posting the album art for starters. The first image is shown below. wmonk liked it, but he rightfully noted that the tree was not a birch tree, so we scrapped that photo. My next photo will be posted on the next thread entry.

Ty Dan. Yeah, woody's got a bunch more done on his modular and knows how to use it better, plus I've got that WiiMote motion controller thing going on for the Transmogrifier, so it should be really good!

Les

I'm really looking forward to this myself. I hope it will be as deep as last time.
Just for those who don't know it (yet), there is a brief excerpt on Youtube.
