Hi folks !
I'm looking for buying some piher trimpots whith the little shaft that some of you use...
Buying pots is very expensive, and finding the good one is a bit hard...
If you have good ideas, thanks for sharing them... and their part number !
thanks for all !

If you buy from an electronics wholesale place like rapid or farnell, you can get parts like full size pots much much cheaper.
I get my stuff from http://spiratronics.com/ they are reasonably priced but not as cheap as rapid. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I can't really be certain but I think I might have an idea"

Are you familiar with search engines? I just stuck "piher trimpots" in google and got about five websites selling them in the first few results. _________________ As a mad scientist I am ruled by the dictum of science: "I can't really be certain but I think I might have an idea"

yeah i know, thanks jingle joe, but i was a bit "speed" finding that. As i know that some of yours use pihet trimpot with external shaft, i thought it would be fastier to ask here.
I can find my own parts, but sometimes, it's REALLY boring, and i'm always happy when i buy a synth kit or things like that, the seller / conceptors gives a BOM.
Well, it's not a drama anyway.

Im a big fan of the piher trimpots with shaft and I've used them when I gave a lunetta workshop here in the Netherlands. What kind of workshop are you giving?
The official name for the series is Piher PT-15 trim potentiometers. Here is a datasheet: http://www.piher-nacesa.com/pdf/14-PT15v03.pdf
Most online stores sell the N type wich has a slot for a optional shaft. A trimmer and shaft combo generally sells for 0.30-0.50$ wich is great value. I've used them on my very first 40106 quad oscillator perfboard build 2 years ago and those still work fine. They don't wear out and still feel very solid. I wouldn't use them in critical applications but in everyday breadboard use they are just perfect. One thing to watch though are the legs, they tend to bend and break after a lot of breadboard abuse.
I still hope to find a decent supplier for these one day: https://www.adafruit.com/products/356 _________________ There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
