I have OSCulator configured to convert WiiMote inputs to MIDI, I can use that. You mean this "synth" is a MIDI thing?

Tassman is really good. First of all it sounds great.. that is always a good thing.. but the concepts here are really good as well.. I reckon you can test your ideas here and then when you come up with patch and circuit ideas that are good you can implement them in Chuck or hardware or whatever.
Tassman is essentially their audio engine, which pretty much is the basis for their other products like Chromaphone and String Machine. _________________ A Charity Pantomime in aid of Paranoid Schizophrenics descended into chaos yesterday when someone shouted, "He's behind you!"

That is good news, it looks like a great product. I emailed customer support and they said i need a MIDI keyboard or something, and if i don't have that then to look into this > that place in the software, which I will do tonight. That seems to be the issue, no input MIDI stim.
This also means that with the right configuration I can drive Tassman with my WiiMotes! yay! I just gotta be patient about these things... If I fall in love with it I may even pay the $200 for it.

p.s. but something tells me it will have to go on my list of things to buy when i get flush again, cause the price is a bit steep for me. $100 i would pay, but twice that for software of any kind is heavy duty for my budget.

drapdap, I have a copy of the G2 demo installed, but have not put the time into learning it yet. I tried to do a midi thing with it but could not figure out how to do it, as all of the MIDI modules are X-ed out in the demo. Perhaps there is some trick that I do not know. I will play with Tassman 4 tonight and maybe the G2 demo as well.

well yes, no midi modules in the demo, but look at the oscillators, grab one, find the output modules and a mixer perhaps, red ones the audio cable, patch it up set the coarse and listen to the waves.
it can be simple too. |

I didn't get around to working with Tassman or Nord demos last night because instead I did a radio show lecture on getting started in ChucK. It was a private show for sonic, but it turned out well so I posted it to the ChucK forum with two example files. I plan to continue the lecture series and also revisit my Friday show, The Les Hall Show.
Les
p.s. I'll try to get to the demos tonight. _________________ "Let's make noise for peace." - Kijjaz |

Well, I see there IS some demand for this sort of thing after all. I didn't do a high energy show, just meandering, conversational style. Maybe I'll pick up the pace now that I know people will be listening. at any rate, yeah, i can teach stuff like ChucK programming as well as electronics topics such as opamps, Lunettas, circuit theory, my own projects, projects of others, etc.

Clavia are so off my radar these days I didn't even know i'd missed the anticipation and facepalm.
facepalm facepalm.
I'm having a lot of fun doing analogue modular DIY these days, but I'd love a G3 still. sighpalm. _________________ Steve |

It is a total culture shock, everything works "different" It will take me a lot of time to get up to the level I had with the Nord Modular.
I've been experimenting with samples only a bit thus far, it can do great stuff to them!
And I got the big one ... have not really seen any DSP usage meter move this far, so can do infinitely more complex things than I'm doing now
Had some small issue with a patch that kept crashing about once every 24 hours, but that got immediate attention from symolic sound. On other patches I have not run into that issue. _________________ Jan

Exciting! I'm 3/4 through 'Kyma Revealed'...
It's much different from the G2, but I think I get it. I was really into coding in my teens so Capytalk and Smalltalk aren't that foreign.
The additive analysis of a sample blows my mind. I can't wait to get my hands on one. Maybe today if Paypal is fast enough.. |

Stop teasing us Jan.
I guess the real implication here is that you will be selling off your inferior equipment soon, right? _________________ Free Tibet. Release the Panchen Lama from prison. Let the Dalai Lama return to his home. |

I've always regretted it when I sold something, so not soon anyway - and hey, it can't be that inferior, I've used it for like 12 or 15 years or so _________________ Jan
